Just like fingerprints, each person is unique. So, it's no surprise that different people handle their cancer diagnosis differently. Some are hungry for information, learning anything and everything they can about the options available to them. Others prefer to remain in the dark, entrusting their care to health care professionals, family members, friends, or God. Although it may be more comfortable to assume a more passive role, research has shown that patients that are intimately involved in their diagnosis and treatment are more likely to survive. On the following screens, you will find a number of suggestions that may help you make your own personal journey through cancer. Some may work particularly well for you; others may not.
